This glaze is for the experimenter, the one who leans into celebrating imperfection and chasing the blister effect. This lava glaze best fired to 1220 over a 10 hr firing. But like all other glazes test first! Clay bodies, kiln firing speeds will impact the blister effect and will yield vastly different results. I've shared a pic of one of my Intention pieces using this crater glaze and Ostrich for the lid. This pink is from a slip I used underneath the glaze. Have fun!
